Our CEO, Tristan Figredo, is a man with a story that he hopes will make you believe in the power of resilience and determination.

At 18 years old, Tristan started out as an e-commerce entrepreneur in the snorkeling industry, eventually growing his business to the point where it was generating a whopping $30-$40k per month. But he didn’t stop there – while running his business, he also studied finance and marketing full-time at Curtin University and worked full-time as a Sales Manager for one Australia’s largest health clubs (winning numerous National Sales awards along the way).

Yes… All between the ages of 18 and 20.

Let’s just say it gets interesting…

Towards the end of 2020, just before Tristan graduated with his Finance and Marketing degree, he faced a major life-threatening operation on his liver, abdominal wall, and diaphragm. One of the rarest conditions in the world had hit him – his scar tissue from all his prior surgeries had caused his liver to move to the other side of his body (we swear, it wasn’t from too much drinking). He actually sat his final exams in a hospital bed… the day after a 3 hour blind operation.

Tristan had been through a lot already, having multiple surgeries including heart operations and prior liver surgeries, so it wasn’t unfamiliar territory… but this was definitely his biggest surgery to date.
